Men of Dumbleton

Who fell in the Great War

1914-1918

I was fortunate enough to visit the church while two local ladies were setting out the flowers for the weekend. Since the vestry contained the flower arranging materials, the door was open, when it would normally be locked, and I spotted a framed Roll of Honour on the wall. I have tried to duplicate the layout as it was on the document (including the crossed out ranks where men were presumably promoted):

                             Pray for those who have
                             gone from this Parish to
                            serve our King and Country
by land and sea and air
