St James’, Bishampton

Ordnance Survey Reference: SO 990519

This is a stone tablet on an interior wall of the church:

1914-1918
The Great War
Died for our Country
from Bishampton
A. Aldridge
H. Crouch
J. Ludlow
F. Morris
W. Perks
H. Thomas

Notes:
A. Aldridge is very likely the same person as the Albert Thomas Aldridge listed on the Naunton Beauchamp memorial.

And this sheet of paper, in a wooden frame: it appears to be a WW II listing. One name is underlined for some reason (died?). The ink is extremely faded in the comment about Kenneth Seabright – the word in brackets is my best guess at reading it. (on a happier note, there is a framed photo nearby, dated May 1970, of Bishampton Choir, in which C.J. Salisbury is shown as one of the churchwardens)
