Two brass plaques on the wall. The first is not strictly a war memorial, but it is referred to by the plaque below.

the Revd. Henry Martyn Sherwood
Vicar of this parish 1839-1910
Who died 21st January 1912 aged 98 years
And of Mary Emma his wife
who died 13th May 1910
This tablet is erected by their
grateful and affectionate children.

In proud and loving memory of
Hamilton Stanley Sherwood
2nd Lieutenant
King’s Shropshire Light Infantry
Son of Henry and Annie Sherwood
and grandson of the above,
Who, giving his life for his country
fell in action near Bethune, France
on August 29th 1918
age 19 years Greater love hath no man than this, that a man
lay down his life for his friends” John XV 13
