A short stone pillar on a square base at the front of the churchyard. The bronze plaque mounted on the pillar reads:

In loving memory of
Sidney Morris
S.B.S. Aged 31 years
who was drowned in the wreck of the hospital ship
“Rohilla” on the East coast near Whitby on
October 31st 1914 and was buried in Whitby Cemetery
on November 4th 1914 no. 6701

Son of Mr & Mrs John Morris of Manor Farm, South Littleton. He was a sick-berth steward, and had been in the Navy for fourteen years. Three of his brothers attended the funeral at Whitby: Martin Morris of Wick, Richard Morris of Bricklehampton, and John Morris of Bennetts Hill.
