There is a small pamphlet available in the church describing all the
memorials. It mentions some facts about some of the men listed on the
war memorial:

Sergeant C.A. Finch was actually from Hill Croome, but was educated in Severn
Stoke. He served with the 4th Bn. of the Worcestershire Regiment, and was
killed at the Battle of the Scarpe in Flanders in 1917.

Harry Phillips was in the 1st Bn. of the Worcestershire Regiment, and was
killed in action in January 1918.

Three of those listed on the memorial died in Military Hospitals
in Britain, and so are buried in the churchyard.
