Located on the B4091 which runs through the village and is set between some
trees in front of the community centre
The memorial consists of a cross atop a pillar which is set in an octagonal
block on top of a two tiered pedestal The details are inscribed on four metal
plates, the dedication is on the side facing the road as follows:
TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF THE MEN OF FAIRFIELD WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR GOD KING AND COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1919 + LEST WE FORGET |
The plate to the left of the dedication contains the following names:
