Note: The Sherwood Foresters Roll of Honour lists a Private William Walter Savage, number 241801, 2/6th Btn., died 21/03/1918 . This is evidently the same man as the sergeant Willaim Savage listed above, apart from the discrepancy in rank

Note: I have heard (but have not confired this) that there are also
memorials to Matthew Stuart at HMS Raleigh (the Naval College near Portsmouth),
in Forthampton church, and in his old school in Tewkesbury.
In memory of Major Henry Montague Browne 30th Regt. Died of Enteric at Bloemfontaine May 25 1900 aged 42 and of Lieut. James Cavendish Browne Imperial Yeomanry who fell in action at Vrede Oct 23 1900 aged 37 Sons of Henry and Amelia Cavendish Browne at Bredon Rectory, and grandsons of the late Honble Henry Montague Browne Dean of Lismore who died at this rectory Nov 24 1884 aged 84 |

In loving memory of Lieut. Hugh Donald Bennett, R.N.R. 4th son of the late George Bennett, and Grandson of the late Nathan Dyer, of Bredon Manor He lost his life in the sinking of H.M.S. Cressy, in the North Sea September 22, 1914 aged 36 |
