All those listed as WW II casualties above are listed on the Abbey Park, Evesham memorial, except for B.G. Cook. Tow others appear to be listed, but with one initial different, which implies that I need to check the originals for these discrepancies.

Notes:
A number of these men are also listed on the Abbey Park, Evesham memorial. Note that both the Abbey Park memorial and the Bengeworth memorial list Owen Sidney Carrick Green‘s first initial as ‘C’
The Evesham Journal, 11th August 1917 has an interesting report, on the unveiling of a War Shrine and Roll of Honour at Bengeworth, in the north gateway of the old churchyard. An extract:–
“This consists of a board bearing the words `Bengeworth Roll of Honour. Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for a friend’. Then follow the names of twenty-two Bengeworth men who have made the great sacrifice. These are as follows:- E.Andrews, H. Barnett, J.H.Corbett, J. Dobbins, W. Dowdeswell, J. Foster, Lieut. B. Freeman, J.A. Gentle, F. Grinnell, T. Hale, Captain F.G. Heyworth, J. Lane, F. Meadows, F. Prentice, T. Price, W. Russell, G. Spragg, B. Stokes, G. Walters, A. Wheatley, A. Woodcock, Enos Moyle. Below this list are given the names, so far as they have been obtained, of all Bengeworth men serving with the colours. The list is necessarily incomplete, but it will be added to from time to time”
With different initials on some names, and a couple of names not appearing on the present day memorial, this memorial is obviously not the memorial to be found in the church today; one wonders what happened to this original memorial, as the Roll of Honour on it would be of interest. As it is however, the report tells us of the men who were known to have died before mid-1917
