Churchyard
Fortunately, the “Sandhurst Churchyard Working Group” have done a detailed
survey, and there is a set of three loose-leaf binders in the church with a
full, detailed listing of memorials. This made it extremely easy to find the
burials of war dead:
In loving memory of Charles Devereux died March 12th 1926 aged 84 years Also of Fanny Maria, his wife died June 13th 1928 aged 84 years And of Joseph their youngest son who died of wounds received in action in France March 22nd 1917 aged 34 years The Cross leads to Paradise |
In loving memory of Willliam James Daniell died Septr. 4th 1931 aged 81 Also of Alice his wife died Septr 18th 1933 aged 74 and of Arthur their son fell in action in France October 9th 1917 at rest |
